EuroCrossAcademy (ECA) is a highly regarded cyclocross student-athlete development program, based both in the U.S. and in Europe. Founded by Geoff Proctor in 2003 and now a non-profit 501(c)(3), the program combines domestic and international racing/training camps through a holistic curriculum with a character component to develop young, aspiring 15-22 year-olds into top cyclocross racers and purpose-driven young adults. Working independently and with USA Cycling and other top teams over the past two decades, ECA has developed over 250 athletes with 60% of all EuroCrossCamp-selected riders (2003-2018) going on to compete for Team USA at the world cyclocross championships. Concurrent with the potential for a professional cycling career, ECA’s overarching goal is to use the forum of bike racing to teach valuable life-skills that ECA student-athletes can then apply to university, military, community, public service, business pursuits, etc. and, at the same time, act as life-long ambassadors of cycling sport.
